North Vancouver is an incredible place to live, but our community is facing real pressures—from housing and traffic to aging facilities, climate change, and rising costs.   These challenges require practical solutions, responsible planning, and leadership that listens, collaborates, and follows through.

Some of My Key Priorities for the Next Term

Should I be re-elected, some of my key priorities will include:
  • Building a more livable and connected community through thoughtful housing, safer transportation choices, and vibrant neighbourhoods.
  • Developing a clear and financially responsible plan to rebuild Karen Magnussen and Ron Andrews recreation centres.
  • Advancing the replacement of the Capilano Library branch.
  • Building a united North Shore case for the replacement of the Ironworkers Memorial Bridge.
  • Continuing to push for transparency and accountability at Metro Vancouver, including the public inquiry residents deserve into the North Shore Wastewater Treatment Plant, while seeking support from other levels of government to ease the financial burden on North Shore taxpayers.​

Housing That Fits Our Community

North Vancouver should offer housing choices for people at every stage of life—from young adults and families to seniors who want to remain in their community.

My Record 
  • Supported new rental, below-market, and family-sized housing in established town centres.
  • Championed multiplexes, coach houses, and more flexible housing options.
  • Advocated for student housing near Capilano University and more efficient approval processes.

My Priorities
  • Expand housing choices while focusing most growth near town centres, transit, shops, and services.
  • Encourage more family-sized, accessible, and adaptable homes.
  • Support faster, more predictable approvals while protecting neighbourhood livability.
Better Ways to Get Around

We need safer and more reliable ways to move around the North Shore, while planning for the major infrastructure our region will need in the decades ahead.

My Record
  • Advocated for safer and better-connected walking, cycling, and rolling routes.
  • Supported improvements along Mount Seymour Parkway, Queens–Edgemont, and the eastward expansion of the Spirit Trail.
  • Opposed costly road projects that would damage green space without solving congestion.

My Priorities
  • Advocate strongly for the replacement of the Ironworkers Memorial Bridge.
  • Build a united North Shore case for action from the provincial and federal governments.
  • Improve public transit, road safety, and connections for walking, cycling, and rolling.
Rebuilding the Facilities We Rely On

Karen Magnussen and Ron Andrews recreation centres are aging, and the Capilano Library branch also needs replacement. We need clear, realistic plans to renew these important community facilities.

My Record
  • Consistently raised the need to plan for aging recreation facilities.
  • Advocated for clearer timelines and better public reporting on major projects.
  • Supported continued investment in recreation, libraries, parks, and trails.

  • Create more welcoming parks, plazas, and gathering spaces.

A Community for Every Generation

North Vancouver should be a place where children can grow up, young adults can build a future, families can put down roots, and seniors can remain active and connected.

My Record
  • Brought forward a motion to establish a  Youth and Younger Adults Advisory Committee.​
  • Consistently considered the needs of families, seniors, and people with disabilities.

  • Design facilities and public spaces for all ages and abilities.
  • Support housing, recreation, and transportation choices that help people remain in their community.
Protecting Our Environment

Our natural environment is central to what makes North Vancouver special and must remain part of every major decision we make.

My Record
  • Defended investment in climate action, parks, and trails.
  • Advocated for clearer reporting on climate commitments.
  • Brought forward a motion supporting residential water metering.

  • Support lower-carbon transportation and more energy-efficient buildings.
  • Prepare our community for wildfire, flooding, extreme heat, and other climate risks.
Independent, Collaborative Leadership

Good local government begins with listening. Residents deserve thoughtful decisions, clear explanations, and leadership that is willing to work across political and municipal boundaries. 

I will continue bringing an independent voice to Council—one grounded in collaboration, fiscal responsibility, compassion, and a deep commitment to the community I have always called home.
