Every municipality in the Lower Mainland is facing similar challenges, largely related to increasing population, shifting demographics and aging infrastructure. I feel that my greatest strengths are my compassion for others, ability to listen, and my desire to connect with all types of people. I want to ensure that everyone, residents and businesses, in our community feel heard and represented so that, together, we can work through the challenges we are facing.
Preserving our livable community
There are few places in the world as naturally beautiful as the District of North Vancouver – from the gorgeous and majestic landscape that goes from mountain to sea, to the beautiful Town Centres that form the hearts of its many neighbourhoods, it is easy to see why people want to live here.
From peaceful parks to serene mountain trails, and from playgrounds to waterfront beaches, we are blessed with an abundance of outdoor recreation options. Preserving our natural spaces is equally important to maintaining infrastructure for a livable community and the decisions I make on Council will reflect that.
